Unfortunately.....nope. The new 07 shortblocks have as much of the new stuff in them as they can so they are better than the early ones they built just to keep guys going when all the motor issues appeared in 07-08. You are married to the 07 engine bottom end because of the differences in the rev and xp platform.

I personally would go with the BRP shortblock. You get 1 year warranty if the dealer installs it and that is worth piece of mind down the road. Good luck!

I'm sure Marv will work with you but the shortblock technically only has 90 day warranty if sold over the counter. Just sayin'....

ya youcould buy the newer short block , you will need to get the new flywheel as the 08 to 011 have a longer mag stub end on them and the flywheel is chnged and is done away with the balancer weight on your flywheel that the rewind cup bolts to and holds on to the flywheel end . the new flywheel does away with the balancer weight as the new flywheel is heavier and deeper .it all matches up .
i have a 07 r motor in my red tube chassi and i have a 01 ignition in it , all bolts in fine.
the bottom plate from the 07 bolts on to the 08 motor .
the flywheel key is in a different place on the 08 crank as the 07 is still in the same place as the previous 7 years has been. the new flywheel for the 08 and up takes this into account and the trigger points on the outside of the flywheel make it all fire when it should for the ignition that you have .
