Full ones, or empty ones?

Is there a bulk discount for buying full barrels?

This may effect me as well.

I wouldn't buy them from a garden center. They wouldn't be any good. Your best bet is to talk to your local liquor store where they can ask the whiskey rep.

To get a swishable barrel, you need to be near a bottling depot, whether it is whiskey or rum. Swish barrels are not the norm and are difficult to get. There is a line up, seniority, and a pay out.

Newfoundland and Nova Scotia used to be the best places.

If you keep asking I'm sure you will find some information.
