which tires to use?

I got a buddy looking for something more aggressive than his 27" mud lites but he doesn't wanna break axles. The quad is an 09 renegade 800. Mods are hmf exhaust, Dalton clutch kit, snorkel kit. I told him 28" zilla's. What are your opinions?

Ask DaveB ......This has been bantered about way too much..lol 30 zillas will spin before breaking chit,are light with very small power loss ,help with the ground clearence and ride smooth..........Yes it is that easy..lol

go with the zillas, lighter, only 28's are really only 27's. rxrgade likes the 30's seem to work well for him in the mud we go through. much more agressive and he will be doing axles etc.

ive had 28 outlaws on my quad for years no axle problems.

He could run 27" silverback and use throttle control instead of nailing through everything.

He would be not much beter off........The ground clearance and approach angles on the Canams just dont work with smaller tires.........It does not matter what tire you run if you are resting on your skid plate......
Ask Goodngrubby about small tires on a rene...........HaHa

He's not gonna get backs or laws. Hes seen me break too many axles. And Neville I told him before I put this posting up that 30" zillas are the best all around.
