looking at getting a new or slighty used suv/crossover.We looked at the Toyota Rav 4,Honda CR-V and Kia Sorrento..The CR-V is outta the question 4cyl too gutless.
The 2010 Rav 4 was good in everything,as was the 2011 Sorrento. Also considering the Ford Edge, want something with a v6 because the 4cyl is wayto underpowered....Does anyone have any feedback on what is a good SUV/Crossover to get and the pro's and cons

The new Kia Sorrento has the edge right now from what i looked at it's sharp looking, decent gas mileage for a v6,lots of power 265hp,AWD,has good warrenty.

Take the Hyundai Santa Fe for a spin. I think the kia shares its engine, or maybe the full power train. Definitely worth looking at anyway.

checked out the 2010 Santa Fe and the new 3.5 AWD V6 gets 7.7l/100km,plus it pushes 275hp which is nice. You sit pretty high in it feels different and has some cab sound not alot but some.

My wife bought a leftover 08 Equinox sport last year brandnew for $24,500.The newer models are nicer inside. Its got the caddy 3.7 263HP V6 and 6spd manumatic tranny. Its a nice ride very sporty and lots of power. When I was looking all the base model crossovers were 30-40K.I could not justify a rav4 or kia for 10K more and less content.Cadillac crossover is the same just alot more dough also they and the equinox have the DI engine for 2010 and 2011.Same engine as the V6 camaro

I've never been a Ford guy but we compaired the 2010 Equinox to the Edge and the Edge is definately the better SUV! A lot more room also a lot more get up and go,great on fuel and very comfortable for long trips. We got the SPORT edition...it came with factory body kit and 22's and it sure turns heads.

We just picked up a Toyota Highlanded and are happy so far. We were looking for 7 passenger, decent hp, better mileage than our Tahoe and decent ground clearance. Highlanders fit the bill with decent 7" ground clearance (for when our roads go unplowed for the entire winter).

We steered clear of the Ford Edge as it's got car like ground clearance.

If the Sante Fe were a bit bigger we would have seriously considered it as we' ve heard good things (Consumer Reports recommends with good reliability reports).

We're looking into unloading our Jeep GC and after doing some research, the Nissan Murano and Acura MDX are rated really high. They drive really nice as well. I'm just waiting to see what the trade-in value will be on the jeep.

I had an 03 Murano, loved that thing, quite, fast, looks good.
FYI, my buddy just traded in his Jeep GC and got bent over.
IMO if you can sell private that's the way to go.
Also the murano holds it value very well, sold mine 2 yrs after I picked it up with 80,000kms more on it and sold it for $6000 less than I paid for it.:d

Maybe if you wanna tow 6 or 8, but most of those would be fine with a 12 ft trailer and a couple sleds. As long as you stay within manufacturer tow limits why would a SUV be a problem?

Ford Edge is the best by far and if you wait till the new year the new Explorer will be out and its built on the Flex chassis. I work for ford but sell everything. If you need a price get ahold of me
