Well it's time to shop out a new sled for the Mrs. I ride a Nytro MTX (not turbo'd:( but some goodies:eek:). She feels like it is to heavy but I love the 4 strokes. We went to the sled show and had a look at what was there and I'm stuck, I truley believe all the brands would last her forever the way she rides.

We do about 50/50 off trail northeast AB riding (no groomed trails at all) and the other half in the mountains. She is an experienced flat land rider, but only riden the moutains a couple of times but enjoyed it.

We are thinking the Arctic Cat XF 800/1100 Turbo High country but not to sure what else to look at.

Any ideas?

sounds like you are looking for a spare for yourself or a new one for you........1100 Turbo for the Mrs???????

If you are riding mostly trails, maybe look at the R-motion on the Doo (Renegade, I think).

My wife wants light, manouverable, easy to start, and pretty.... our riding is the same as yours but probably more like 70/30 home/away...

She decided on an 11 Arctic Cat M6 153 @ a kick azz price from T&T.

Like Doug said, not sure why she'd need an 1100 turbo for your riding....

Ya I kinda was in the same mind frame... I was thinking along the lines of an M6-M8 but for sure 153 or the new Pro 600.. Easy sleds to ride with enough oomph for when you're in the Mountains.

5'8" 160 had 3 sleds last season 2000 pow special 700, 09 assault and a 07 summitx 800. pow special was a good beater sled for friends, rode the assault for a month and got as far away from it as possible, then picked up an 07 summitx 151 800h.o , loved the sled however keeping it on a sidehill could be challenging at times it would want to roll back to center and buck me to the otherside....... me personally Iam going with an 2011 800 pro 163 w better boards and a few other things

FWIW, my wife rides an M6 from T&T and she loves it. I like it too as she doesn't get stuck nearly as much as she did with her 121" track.

The right one is the one she wants.....Now it's up to you to help her make the right decision, and @ 125 lbs coming from an "S Chassis" to a 4 stroke is gonna be a stretch no matter which brand it is. It will be a huge upgrade for her just going to a current long track 2 stroke, and she will not have to fight the weight. If she does good with that, then maybe you could convince her that she wants to try to push around an additional 110 lbs (which will feel like a full time passenger to her) Choose carefully grasshopper!! Happy Wife..Happy Life!

Thanks All. That's not my Mrs. who everyone is describing... Mine is 5' 11" and rode an 08 crossfire 800 last year but we are moving her to rider forward this year. I was just wonder what others are riding this year for what she does. I won't go less than an 800, go big or go home, and she needs to be able to keep up. Mentality works great with quads to, when they have the power they keep up!
