I was just wondering if anyone would know the latest info on which parka would be the warmest....Valdez, Tomahawk, Kilimate? I tend to do more trail riding around home than mountain riding. It seems like alot of guys like the Valdez for the mountains, I just wonder if its warm enough when trail riding at 50-60mph in -20C temp plus a windchill?
Are the Tomahawk and Klimate parka's for colder conditions? I should also ask which bib would be better suited for the cold? Togwotee or Klimate?

Thanks

Remember - The Klim Valdez (top of the line) is Technical Outer Layer...there is very minimal insulative qualities...you need the base and mid layers to round out the package. The Togwotee Bib has some insulation but you will still need a base layer.

Just bought the two items above...rest of my group has them and love them.

I have the Valdez jacket and the pants (not bibs) I just didn't like the suspender portion of the bibs. You do have a better chance of snow falling down the back of the pants though if you get bucked off so technically I would say the bibs are warmer.

You do have to layer with Klim. It is breathable so you stay dry during the day.

I have a tomahawk jacket and it is part of the aggressive line and does not have any insulation at all. So if your looking for warmth go with the klimate

I sell and use KLIM gear myself. The best model for warmth without extra layers is the klimate series. The klimate jacket is the only one that has any thinsulite insulation in it. They are very warm jackets. Since i bought a tekvest myself i have actually switched to the valdez jacket for mtn ridin cause the klimate was to warm for me with the tekvest on also. But up until i bought the tekvest i loved my klimate jacket and i was never cold or wet.

My hubby has the Valdez jacket but wears an Inferno shirt underneath. He has never complained about being cold, and the jacket and mid layer isn't bulky for mountain riding. We both wear the Freeride pants, love them, even though they aren't insulated we have ridden in anything from -20 to 15 above and they are awesome. My 14 yr old son has the Togwotee jacket with the Inferno shirt and Klimate bibs, never wet or cold! I can't say enough good things about Klim. Sure they are more spendy than others brands out there but they really do stand behind their product. You won't be disappointed!:):i_need_snow:
