I have a friend who would love to rent a sled and come to the mountains over new years! Just wondering where a reasonable place would be to rent one for 4 days! heading to the valemount or mcbride areas! Would it be better to rent there or in edmonton area somewhere and take it with us? We have lots of trailer space so thats not an issue! He really doesnt care what make of sled it is but it should be a 800 and a 144" minimum? Any advice?

Thanx

Just a heads up...

A friend of ours drove 11 hours from Saskatchewan and rented an XP for $300 from a certain dealer in McBride. The dealer told him the tank was full of gas, yet 2 hours into the day at Renshaw, it only had 2 bars left showing (out of ten).

There were 5 more of us on our own XP's and we were riding way harder than the guy on the rental and we all had 5-6 bars left. Needless to say, the guy was a little disappointed and worried about having enough gas to get back down the cat trail at the end of the day. And we weren't excited that we would have to give up some of our gas for him to enjoy the day, thus cutting everyones day short because of a "shotty rental place".

When he returned the sled and explained the situation, the guy at the counter laughed and gave him some "bullshot" story about filling the tanks half full to avoid splashing...

Do not give them your business, they obviously don't appreciate it.

If you're gonna rent in McBride, rent from spindrift. I've heard nothing but good things about them guys.

I have also seen advertisements in spruce grove and stony plain for sled rentals but not sure of the place or the number! Any other places anyone has seen?

Spindrift Power Sports in Mcbride has new Arctic Cats , Sno- Pros and HCR,S in their rental fleet. Their prices are reasonable and the machines work well. They will bend over backwards to make your stay in Mcbride something you will never forget.
