One more thing RaineMaker. Not sure what kind of machine your changing out the cable on but I have done quite a different brands and when I do a Can-am, I pull the 4 mounting bolts off the winch, snip the tie-straps off the wireing off the frame and slide the winch out the side to work on it. You just cant reach in the with that silly plastic guard BRP has it it's more of a pain in the ass to remove the plastic then slide the winch out sideways. Trust me...this is not a big job and will only cost you maybe one extra Swig of your beer while working on a Can-Am :d
