Why Warn? Their prices have gone up and quality down. I have used them for years since the early 90's. I won't buy one now unless I get a smoking deal. There are way better options.
I put a Runva on my ace last year. I find its slower spooling than a warn, and noiser, but the all steel gears, and the price of the kit made it worth while, if I'm stuck I'm going no-where fast, so I'll deal with the slow spooling and noise.
Warns not as good as they used to be . I gave up on them a couple years ago . Picked up a Pro Winch TRX series fully waterproof . Awesome winch ! pulls better than any warn and doesnt kill the battery when used for back to back pulls
the motor on my warn crapped out bought the runva 2500 with rope and complete wiring for $216.00 cdn with taxes and shipping off ebay shipped to my door from ontario in 5 days
runva also makes a 3500 lb winch that is the same physical size and mount holes as 2500
I have a runva on one quad ,does seem noisey and def slower but haven't had any issues , didn't like the switch so upgraded it to the warn type rocker switch
looking for the 3000 # with syn rope haven't trie a viper winch yet
Costco has a 3000lb superwinch for 199 almost all 5 star ratings. I have the 3500 terra superwinch ..way quieter than warn. Haha my warn looked like doorfx does.
