had a few units break down, punctured/sliced sidewalls, over heating.. heard something snap in my front end (but no idea what it was... cant see anything and everything still works)
Plus by the time we reached checkpoint 1... it was late in the day and wouldnt have completed in time for the poker hand draws.... and getting through some of the mud holes after 900+ machines chewed them up was getting a bit tiring haha
Yep, defeted by the Robb Rally. Didn't even make it to check point 1. Side by side=punctured front tire, with bead leaking followed by either a blown belt or clutch, not sure until surgery is preformed. Thanks to the guys who gave us the tire foam, didn't work but thanks, you will have good trail charma now. Had to follow the group rules, don't seperate from the group, this time it wasn't me needing the tow. It was 2pm by the time we got out to the road, so not enough time to go back and try and complete the rally. Next year we will be back. Read alot on hear, don't be last, very true, we drove about 3 1/2 hrs to get there, arrived at around 10:30 ish, will have to spend the night next year. Thanks to the ladies at the hall, great cheese burgers.
yes the golden rule of the robb rally is dont be last but someone has to do it i made it through unscaved but had to tow winch push and drag buddies machine through after he blew 2 cv's and his winch makes for a long day but if it was super easy it wouldnt be as fun. i did meet a chit pile of quads running up the hiway on my way home felt kinda bad for them
That rally was awesome my brother broke a axel in the first 10 mins I Jerry rigged it with a bunjie cord of the a arm and he finished the rally with 3x4 lol on his mud pro I almost smoked a belt I could tell by the smoke coming from my cvy exhaust snork I also have a little play in a front axel I finished the rally by about 4 and won a leather man as a door prize the guy in front of me won a chain saw lucky bastard
its all how you approach it there was families with lil babies that made it all the way around. its definetly a good rally one of the best but people can and do tear their stuff up
This is typical of the Robb rally, lots and lots of carnage. I just got tired of the drunken cidiots wrecking stuff and being stuck in front of me. Haven't been back in years, and glad to see I haven't missed much. I was fun at first, but just getting too popular.
had no isssues! finished the whole rally. got a late start but passed about 100 machines in the 2 first mudholes. hung out at checkpoint 1 for 3 hours waiting for the rest of the crew to show up. left them all in the dust again after that as myself on the big brute and my buddy with his 1000 renegade didnt feel like not finishing. the muskeg was just nice to play in this year. I only got stuck twice and it was minor... the 1000 renegade never got stuck at all! we hammered the rally this year. 2 years in a row we kicked this rallies azz! cant wait for next year!!!
We have definitely seen an increase in interest in our business. I have seen people make it and break it so far this year. It can be a testing time for some but fortunately our team is growing stronger than ever.
