"I have a haircut booked for thursday" is one we've heard, another was a dentist appointment.

I sledded in a group a couple years ago up in velmount where a tree fell on one of the guys, broke his vertebrae in two spots and crushed his helmet. maybe your buddy was with us and got freaked out.
My buddy said he wouldn't go cause he was scared of a tree falling on him on the trail! I haven't ask him since and that was 2 years ago.

You should do your duty and confiscate them and give them to someone who will use them!

Worst excuse I heard 2 years ago was avy conditions are to bad. A excuse to ride accordingly but not stay home. Went anyways without him. Was the year everyone else we rode with took the year off, didn't want to go to the mountains without them....So lame.

My excuse the last 2 years has been no sled. Never turned down a ride when I had a sled......Won't be any excuses next year.

Actually not riding because of avy conditions is a good idea. Saves alot of grief on the homefront. Sorry Cyle I cant approve your post. Lol.

As everyone who is educated knows, doesn't matter what they are you can still ride safe. And if your that controlled at home something is wrong........
