Okay, thread suggestion: Please post the location, coordinates (as best as possible), and a photo.

Highest trail I've completed was Reco Mountain (in the Kootenays, trail head in Sandon, BC) GPS Coordinates: 49.99897, -117.19515

It was an excellent trail system with lots of old mines, history to explore. Fantastic quadding!

Koko Claims Trail to Elkford. Don't have a pic on PC as this was a couple of years ago and could not tell you the elevation. Or Chimney Creek lookout in Grave Flats area, no elevation idea. We don't ever really pay attention to that stuff. Also did 2 of the passes in Crowsnest and where the plane crashed south of Coleman. Again no pics as I don't leave them on the PC for long.

Grande Cache, rode to the top of Mt.Hammel @2105m N58.223 W12.573, and Caw Ridge. You can see Mt.Robson from those two places as well.

Hey teeroy, how would like to repost your Lat/Longs again. Is the 0240 jpg the top of Mt Hammell look out ?? Did you take the South or the North trail as in the Backroad GPS Map V2.??

I just went to google earth for those coordinates. type Mt.Hamell in the search for the format you use. not sure what north trail you are referring to, if it's the death race trail the only way you can get up there is on foot. we've rode down it on bikes, I do not recommend trying it on a machine up or down. the only access is from the south by quad, either from km 5 on the beaverdam road or the meadows along the highway. pics are from the Hamell lookout. I do not have backroad gps map v.2 so I cannot say for sure.

Paradise mtn near Invermere, just over 8000' (2440m). Healy creek near Trout lake we got to just under 8000'. Would like to get up to Canoe mtn, that would be about the highest in BC I think!

Trying to find a pic of my GPS at the top, will post when I find it

I have no idea of any coordinates or altitudes but I've done the plane crash in the crowsnest pass a few times and if anyone from elkford is reading this, I've also gone up burnt ridge in my truck.

Not at all saying that this guy is asking for this reason, but.........

If I was with an environmental group and wanted to get some "incriminating" pics for a presentation or to show the government, I wouldn't hike up and hide on a mountaintop with a big zoom lens...... I would join a group like Snow and Mud and start a thread like..."I love riding my quad in the untracked alpine, do you guys? Can you post some pics with descriptions and coordinates? Thanks buddies!"

Once again, I'm not saying that's what this thread is about, the idea just popped in my head that's all.

The two popular high points in Elkford (top of Koko Claims at 6500' and the Fording lookout at 8000') have hard surface, bladed roads going to the top and no real alpine to ride. Pick-ups can get to the Fording lookout and that is cool.

The Weigert lookout is an older, little used bladed trail at about 6500'. There is only 2 months of access (July and August) for motorized vehicles.

Ya' that Burnt Ridge is a cool drive!
