You can just use PVC pipe.
That's what I used in my xp when I installed t motion

Still on there and not worn one bit


Where as before, the springs had worn the shaft enough, I didn't like the idea or look of it

well i was going to make it like that company from the states.. 2 inch uhmw with a one inch hole rite on the middle of it and the spring would be dead center in the middle of the shaft.

Could you put"shoulders" on either end to keep the spring from sliding all the way to one side or the other?
Keep it centered side to side?

good question... im starting to think it worth just buying the already made ones from hygear... i went and tried to buy pvc... but they dont make anything in 2inch outside diameter

for all of your information. i have sourced uhmw round stock and now i am trying to find a lathe to turn it down to spec and bore out the center. i will make a set and show u guys. If theres enough interest i will make sets to sell

I purchased a 10 ft lenght of 2 inch UHMW from supplier in calgary - to fit spring properly had outside diameter machined down a bit so spring wouldnt bind on spring when unloaded - then bored center to fit shaft - took bit of time but on spring setting went from 4 to 2 ! Did this for the older chasis of the 04 revs and then the XP chasis - not sure how much different the shaft is on the XM chasis - but probably isnt to much different
