We were riding a few weeks ago and saw a ton of shooting cracks. you would ride slow and it would collapse in front of you, it would travel about 50 feet. It was pretty neat to see. There was about 25 cm on top of the hoar frost. We would come up close to the edge of the top of a small steep hill and set off slabs. Kinda neat to see the instability and where the shearing took place.
