Pistons should be good to 3000 miles.


Loosing a ring locating pin well that's a diff thing.


U bet it pinged and loosened the pin.

2880km time to go boom, although mine went for 6000km, or so. watch for grease behind clutch

My last 2 07 800R motors lasted 6,500 and 7,500 with no problems so i figured with 3,500 i was good for the rest of the season.

u should be ok, seems to be the luck of the draw, just check for grease on rear of clutch.
