installed a DJ kit with the purple/white spring, mountain ramps and I also swapped my top gear for a 19 tooth. I know, this set up is for the mountains but I want to go for a rip tomorrow on the flats. How much weight should I use?

I used to run 16 grams in the pins with that set-up. Clicker 3 on the prairies and clicker 5 in Mcbride/Vale/Revy....RPM was a constant 8300 on the tach. You might get away with 16.5 grams as well. I used to run 17 but the RPM's were just on the side of too low and the power was best at 8250-8300 on the tach (they read about 100 high anyway). 2200' to 7500' elevation. Sled was an 08 summit 154.

I ended up sticking in 23 grams of weight for todays ride and it ran at 8100 on clicker 4. It was alright but I'll be changing to 16-17 for down at elevation and do 15.9 in the mountains. My sled worked fine but I know the way it was set up was not designed the way DJ had intended it to be. I just needed to get by until I could get a new spring. Thanks for the replies.

Your running a Doo pur/wht? (160/380). Joey has his own spring that is a 175/360 that works real well....picks up the tension through the middle speeds without being too stiff on the top end.
