Low mile xm gets my vote. Parts are very easy to find for them used or new if you ever need.

Granted I am a polaris guy. But I find them hard to ride, and they also look like a pain to work on. (Queue doos never break comments here lol )

Probably wont be friends any more if you make them ride a nitro 🤣
That’s funny. My buddy ripped his ski off way way back in a zone. Deep snow. He was getting tired riding deep with one ski so I trade him sleds for a bit. I let him ride my nitro 300 horse. So like 10 mins later he stops and he wanted to ride his sled.
He was like. How the hell do you ride that thing. Lol.

There are so many good deals on Doo’s and Poo’s for under 10 grand. I called about a 2018 XM with 765 kms. Wanted $5500
Selling becuse of divorce and new snow check.
I personally don’t care what your excuses for that price, as long as it’s legit

They produced the summit sport till model year 2020. The 2020 summit sport was a 600 carb in an xp chassis. I don’t think any dealers around here sold any though hence why we don’t see them

100% true, most reliable platform hands down. May be a little harder to ride than a poo or doo but i prefer reliability over a small amount of ease of ride. Clutches on all machines should be checked and serviced regularly, one of the most neglected parts.

The 67k engine failure was manufacture defect for sure, suzuki engines are the most reliable sled engine ever built and very well known to be basically Bullitt proof. I ride with 5 other cats all from varying km from 3300km to 1500km 2020-2012 and all have been dead nuts reliable, no engine issue and one clutch failure at 2700km due to my buddies lack of maint (seized a roller). My 17 mountain cat has been turbo'd for the last 1000km and has been excellent. As far as sleds go, there are no more reliable than the 2014 to 17 cats or the 09-11 if you want the old style. Every manufacture has engine failure but cat has proven most reliable no question.

While the 800 Suzuki is a good motor, your evidence is nothing special (unless you're missing a zero). Ive rode with 800 Polaris with more than 3300km on the odometer without the engine being opened up.

There's lot of cases of the 800 etec breaking 10,000 km with nothing more than spark plugs being replaced. Ive riden with a few, and more than a couple members on here have reported the same on their own machines.

Definitely right there, I’ve had lots of 800 ho suzuki motors and never one motor issue. Blew apart a primary clutch on my 2011 at 4700 km but no maintenance was ever done on it lol and it was covered under my warranty . That motor on my 11 cat had over 6000km when I sold it and was on kijiji last year still ticking away. I’ve personally towed out a couple blown up 800 etec sleds and a few 800 ptek sleds

For the price does it really matter, if all your looking for is a ditch banger for under 10G?
Rev, XM , XP ,G4 or whatever the current is?!?!?
A 800cc ditch banger is a 800cc ditch banger.
