Weird, both dudes in CWF shirts at the show with the timber we're talking about how sweet their hondas are.... I thought they would know as their FullSpeed rental fleet is all 450FX

That's because they don't sell Honda. Got one (450RX) with last year's Snow Check Yeti (129). Wouldn't ride anything else....Sled didn't didn't get any seat time.

did you go with the 129 SS and how much do you weigh? Why do you say you would ride nothing else?

I spent a weekend on the 129SS and found it to really trench on the start, in the revy deep it was actually getting annoying. The 120 full width weren't having the same issue and the 129 full width, I never even thought it before. Like riding a chainsaw

60 hours plus on 18 Honda CRF with 129ss works great no starting problems handles and climbs better than my yamha with 17 129

Track speed was definitely up and easier to get back up on the SS. That big pitch track will work well on the full width I think

No, 129 Free Ride (FR). I weigh too much :), probably 230 last time I rode it. As far as your last question, I'm a Honda guy and the set up worked fantastic. Rode with guys on sleds, they loved it too. I'm not selling my sled....yet. If I had to choose, the sled goes.

im leaning towards the 129ss just because i have always been an aggressive rider that carries momentum I weigh 185 before gear. Started my mountain life on a summit 146 and went everywhere the 163 boys rolled so i think that will translate on a snowbike as well.

Carrying momentum is one thing, but a dead start when you can't assist it in chest deep pow... riding a chainsaw. I'm 175 before gear and 6'1"

edit: it reminds me of an F7 track, you can barely stand in the trench it's so narrow lol.

how do you compare the 129 full width to the 120 full width? I rode the 129SS from full speed and had fun but the snow was not deep. If the 120 works well it makes me think about going timbersled to save a few bucks.

There's only one extra row on a 129 vs 120 so with every kit having the big pitch track next season there might not be much difference. I bet jumping back and forth, you'd barely notice it. Might even recover track speed faster? The TS works but I've heard quality is down since Polaris bought. Lower quality materials

Just talked to the honda dealer bringing in the bikes and the prices dropped for April. Saved $1000 bucks by waiting till this month to make payment. Brand new 2017 CRF450RX for $8750+gst OTD and the 2018 CRF50 is $1550+GST OTD.

Sounds like snowbike parts to me. lol
