I use the simmons "original flex ski" and i love the way it works. Way better than the stock ones thats forsure. Simmons has different models of skis but i would definately recomend these ones!

MODS skis on the wife's M8, SLP powder pros on my M1000. Didn't care for the gen 1 simmons, C&A XT's, or the 6" Slydogs on the M chassis. USI Triple threats work well, also - I use them in spring.

I got my powerhounds from Prairie Rec. in PA. I`m sure he can get them to Saskatoon for you no problem. Talk to Travis there at 306-763-8001 if your interested.

I love the slp powder pro's. Deeper keel than the powder hounds easier to turn going down hill. Really nice to side hill with.

You can get powder hound skis at echo cycle in Edmonton, that is where I bought mine.

echo has the 7" sly dogs for $469 and the 8" for $539...

i asked if they had any feedback and they said everyone loves the 7" but haven't heard anything on the 8" yet as they are new.

anyone here try the 8"? better flotation of course - but are they too wide and affect handling? up in the air of which way to go...prob heading in sat morning to pick up a set.

my M8 is an 07 so it's a little heavier with the mech reverse...leaning towards the 8"....should get me to next year when i buy a shiney new lighter machine

I bought a set of MOD skis and have about 50 miles on them so far. Awesome ski, great corning, nice control at low and high speeds. Really like them, just my two cents worth.

Sometimes I wonder if people are just riding trails with their M's. In a ski, I want flotation and a ski that can cut into a hill to hold a sidehill. If you want a sled to steer nice on the trail, you're on the wrong chassis IMO. The stock ski's are garbage, but I haven't heard enough feedback about aftermarket ski's ON THE MOUNTAIN. Sort of leaning toward Powder Pro's or MODS so far for next summer. Not so sure on the Hounds yet.

So far my Mods are great. Improved steering by leaps and bounds it is unreal. Do not have enough snow around here yet to carve but have found some decent snow in some ditches and steering again is unreal. Lance at Mods reminds you to align skis before using them.
