Ok so the guy I got the sled from said t.s.s did some clutch work ...

Black spring with one pink and purple dot. About 1.5 inches longer than the d.j kit I got and way less spring to it even tho its longer.
Also had hollow pins in it with one small weight.
With the stock 441 arm. And stock secondary everything.

If it is stock helix, then it is near impossible to say what it is. Anyone can swap out a primary spring, I would have to look but pink purple should be a 230/320.

Ya Dan stock helix.

U know I've been fighting this thing since I bought it.

One climb its awsome , next one a older rmk 700, 155 is killing me.

That's y some days I just take it easy cause I can't count on it to make it lol.

Then some days its good.

I also made a extra extra 2 inch flow rite kind of thing in the lower air box on the mag carb side..

Made a Velcro cover to cover it up so its not allways open and sucking belt dust or snow in.

So the deep sticky days Like the dootalk ride I'm going to open it for an extra air source.

Don't want to hijack this thread sorry! Is the primary clutch puller the same on a dynamo Joe clutch as the stock one?

Huh ???

It's the same clutch just different spring, arms, pins inside.

Same hole housing.

Also make sure the main clutch bushings ect are good.

ok sorry! Have not had nothing to do with them! I didn't know! But thank you! Had a friend ask me if I had a puller for one and did not know if it was the same housing or not.

Ya pretty much ever doo since the 670 is the same puller.

Make sure u get a good one ( more money ) cause they can break off inside ( not good and hard to get out ..

My buddys sled today we had to use the clutch bolt - pipe thread and water.

His is a 08 and never had the clutch off. Well the puller wouldn't even touch it.

It worked real good.

But still need the puller to get the two halfs if the clutch apart. Thread it in the middle some. Turn it upside down and smack the head on something hard till it pops.

Also note the arrows for alignment later too.

I use extra permanent marker marks to help.

New to the clutch changing stuff yep.

Had them apart to clean and fix tra7.

I never had my tra 3 apart once in 6500 miles.

So the spring I took out is stock Dave ??

Like I said. It's longer and way less spring tension to it.

I also have the other spring that came in my kit which is 160-350 with brp part # on it. That is all black. It has very close spring to the pink-white spring I put in.

Huh the stock doo pins where hollow and one small weight. Cool I guess. Jason's 08 had solid pins in it. Mind u it had 413 ramps too.

Sounds more like a heat fade issue to me. Especially if its as hit and miss as you describe. Have you upgraded your thermostat? Also measure the clearance between the sliding sheave and your belt, do this with a new belt. Feel free to call me 780 986 6370

The spring you took out is what TSS put in there. If your new kit came with a Doo pur/pink....it's the same spring....check the PN. Doo makes an all black spring that is 185/410. Stock spring was a 130/260 or in that range. (going by memory) The 08's had 413 ramps, yes.

Ya the spring I took out is different than the other 3 I had.

One for Jason's kit , the one that came from my kit , and the one Jack gave me ( pink with almond dots )

The one from my kit has no dots just the doo part # 414-949-500 which is 160-350.

But the one I took out was less spring rate by pushing and is 1.5 inchs longer to boot.
Yes black with one pink dot and one purple dot.

Y the t stat ???

Yes mine is still stock plastic and all

Lots of people over the last few years said the engine tech stat never realy made a diff.

I'm pretty sure it was the belt-clutching causing a issue. That's what it seemed and I guess the first few rides will tell also.

Deano nailed it. Either get the ET stat, or cheap out and get the resistor that tells the computer it's running cooler.....otherwise it's one good pull, then, well, maybe a good pull...maybe not. Home Page Scroll to the bottom of the page....don't get the race version plug and go.

GAWD all my Doo Doo tuning knowledge is lost now I have a Yammy. Hahahaha

On that note Tex....call me before you buy ANY Doo spring, ramp, tool, etc.....
