Do you know what belt they were using before the Ultimax's, were they the stock 111 belts? Did they blow those at all, or just decide to switch?

Amazing you can get them for that price yet, our dealer here has a holdover 900 switchback still sitting here, they used it as a demo and are still asking more. I think a fusion would be a pretty sweet ride myself, a lot of torque in a 121", would be a great trial/ditchbanger sled

Those prices on the Fusions was for 05 models right out of the crate. Anniversary units also. Cannot be had anymore though as that special was on last year. This year the prices at this particular dealer are higher on used sleds. Must of got a heck of a deal from Polaris to unload excess inventory.
The dudes that bought the 900 fusions have not blown an original Polaris belt yet and do not have many miles on them either. Their spare belts are the Ultimax XS.

As far as long tracks creating more load on the belt I disagree. An 800 XC (121) compared to an 800 RMK (151) is probably not much different in belt load as the XC will have a higher ratio on final drive as compared to the RMK. My 800 RMK does an honest 80 mph. An 800 XC probably does 100+.

i had two fusion 900s, just sold one. one i put the 115 belt and the one i sold has the 111 belt. i didn;t really notice a difference.

where i did notice a difference was the first time i took one of them for a ride with the stock belt and blew the crap out of it.

these new sleds make a lot of power, and a good belt is extremely important.

and as mentioned above, WASH YOUR BELT

well I went and bought a 111 belt since the one on it is a 111 and has over 900 miles on it. I have lots of vents and the only reason i'm changing it is because the woman jumped on it with the e-brake on and tried to go. (woman lol) I'm take my clutch apart tomorrow to clean and install new belt. boy are they expensive ($183 plus tax=$203) is the 115 cheaper??? lol. thanks for all your input. I remeber when a belt was $25-$35 and I'm only 35 lol thanks again

went to dealer today and looked at both belts. the 115 is sightly narrower!(like maybe .040-.060 ish) it must be better in the compound. still what is involved in the shimming? help!
Not sure about the shims but your sled will work fine on either the 1122 or 1115. The 1122 is kevlar double cog and the 1115 is PBO. 1122's run about $130 and the PBO is as mentioned $189. They have the same width and side cut angle so the ride hieght in the secondary would be the same. Standard for your '05 was the 3211080 which is still available for about $90 but they are narrower and a bit shorter. The PBO is the best but require a bit more care when breaking them in.
