Forgot to mention its lifted 6" and its an '06
I must have got lucky with my truck i guess. I have 320K on the clock, truck is used for work in the patch. I pull my trailer about every second weekend in the summer. Haul sled about every second or third weekend in the winter. Never have i ever had any trans or motor issues (running a chip cold air and exhaust) and my front end repair schedule is right on par with guys from work that drive Ford and Dodge. Those IFS and allison set ups sure suck
I have a 07 with the LMM and have 192000km on it, never had any major issues with it. With the new trucks as mentioned you have DPF (07.5-current) and or DEF(11 and newer) you can get a programmers, exhaust setup's to remove. I have just removed my emissions exhaust and I was presently surprised at the increase in fuel mileage. I was getting 22mpg on my way to edmonton last weekend. The 6 speed allison is a must IMO (06-current). The LBZ(06-07) or LMM(07.5-10) are strong motors and are a good choice. I just put a titan tank on my too and love the range 52 gal over 26gal i just saved $46 on my last fill because i got diesel at 1.07L instead of 1.31L. Just my
