I gave one a good look at a dealership a week ago and im not sold on it. Its not that it looks cheap or weak but it does in an odd way. Everything seems plastic and temporary. I wasnt a fan of the 150's when they came out but warmed up to them eventually so maybe the 350 will grow on me

Sled deck should always be placed on 1ft2 pieces of plywood to distribute weight in box and protect the metal.

Will a sled deck rip up that aluminum bed in the box? It is already hard on the steel beds.

I made a wood floor for my truck bed , use it for sled deck and truck camper + I mostly leave it in full time . keeps the box liner looking brand new and easy to pop out if needed .

pieces of wood under deck legs i dont like . one even floor much nicer

I don't like that it's skinnier than the old super duty. To me it looks tall and narrow. Maybe it will grow on me, but so far I prefer the 11-16 style.

I think it's a bit narrower. It's the same body as the f150.

Has always been that way . If your using the deck lots I haven't seen one yet that lives without plywood floor or big support pads to support deck.

Only small pads under my deck for the past 3 years with a pile of abuse and so far no damage

Ya it's definitely narrower. I think about 40 mm or something like that. I always liked that the super duty was its own body style. However with it sharing cabs at least it will be updated more often. 17 years was a long haul with the old super duty cab. The other issue with the new ones is they won't fit in a 22 foot garage.

Been a Ford fan for ever, won't be buying a 17, buddy bought one and took it for a quick drive. Interior seems cheap, don't like the up fitter switches on roof, not an aluminum body fan either. Headlights and hood fix is about all that is good. Just my 2 bits worth thou

I have kinda been bitten slightly with first year issues on sleds. I test drove the 16 f350 6.2 litre and a 2017 f350 diesel there is an active steering option on the 2017s that apparently gives lighter feel. I drove the 2017 diesel with out this option and it felt not very agile on the curves although the power was insane. If it was me before I bought the new generation I would watch it for a year. I ended up buy the 2016 and like it.

How much narrower is the 2017 f150 than a 2017 f350? Thanks

I think there pretty odd looking. Trying to be polite lol. Seems like they tried to deign them off of a card board box or something. Interior looks super cheap and like all fords full of plastic.

They are the same cab so exactly the same. I actually stand corrected the new super duty is 0.1 inches wider. 79.9 vs 80. It's taller so I guess that's why it looks skinnier. The 17 has way less interior width space though. Over 5 inches less hip room. Not sure why it's that much less, I havent had a chance to look at them in person.

Unlike the nissans whose interiors are high end marble tile and solid burled walnut with 24 carat gold accessories!!!
