Maybe a similar thread has been posted before but here goes. A person has to cut a living out for themselves somehow. What do you do to pay the bills? I'm a 2nd year (soon to be a 3rd year) heavy equipment tech. I love my job and the crew I work with:beer::)

I work MAYBE 3-4 hrs/day - but on cal 24/7 so u know how that goes

Make 2 x the amount I did working for a major corporation (5 + years), 9-5 w sales targets, a boss, a DM and someone always breating down my neck

And yet somehow it was okay to send a fixed wing out to Yellowknife last night for a 26 weeker?!?!? Glad I wasn't on that flight...
