I would go with the Nytro over the Phazer. IMO the phazer is way too small of a sled for a grown man.

you can get a used phaser mtx for cheap and throw on a turbo for 140hp and a super light weight platform. would be cheaper than a new nytro mtx. but if you were like me when i was 15 and 6 feet tall and over 200 lbs i would get a nytro

Your 15 dude be realistic you cant afford a turbo and i dont think you have the expereance to handle it ...
My opinion buy a m6 there light, nimble, reliable, ya there i know you didnt want anything buy yammis but there known for bein heavy to a full grown man so you bein 130lbs wouldnt be able to budge the front.

no thanks , i dont want a ditch pickle blowing engines and cranks does not sound like fun to me , i'm not a mechanic , lol and yamahas are not that heavy and i'm on a yamaha 700 right now with 130hp so i think i can handle a phazer with 140hp and when i go out their i will have about $3,000 to play with cause i will sell my 700 and my parents will chip in and help me with money.:)

I too am a Yamaha lover..
Quads, Dirt bikes, Motorcycles, generators...
But when it comes to my sled its a Cat all the way.
I agree with Yamaha that 4 strokes are the way of the future with fuel economy and durability. But they are still way too heavy and I like throwing my Kitty around up in the rocks.
If you insist on a Yamaha I would recommend the Nytro.
although I rode one last year in Revy with Yamaha days and I hated it.
It was very sluggish and definately needs a turbo but expect to spend big bucks !

Find me a stock M6 or M8 that has blown up without a ridiculous amount of miles on it. My dealer hasn't even seen the internals of the 800 yet... And that's since '07. Yamaha's are about 100 lbs over the rest of them. You'll have 782384721895793479342x more fun on a cat or polaris or doo for that matter at your age. If you're going to deny this advice, you're on your own.

lol the problem with that statement is that you from the east. once you come out west you will not be denying that a yamaha is heavy.kind of hard to get stuck on the trail. wait until your up to your neck in snow in a 45 degree angle LOL. i would never buy a yamaha unless it was boosted period. but alot of people use NA ones because they like the reliability i supose. differant strokes for differant folks. if you like yami GET ONE but DO NOT GET A PHAZER.get the nytro. i dont mind those sleds NA one bit. my friend bought a phazer. lets just say hes not allowed to ride with us anymore because he cant get it up the trail usually. thinking of doing a briggs and straton swap for some bigger HP#s. i have a donor lawn mower.

also. why turbo a pahazer? now your into it for more than a nytro and same HP but with another mechanical system.......

I think you've already made up your mind as to what sled you want to buy. You aren't posting looking for advice, your slamming every one who has given you their advice. Maybe its time you grow up and drop your eastern attitude and listen to the good people that have taken the time to respond to this thread. They took the time to give you their opinions, show them the respect they deserve.

I agree, Joey needs some growing up to do..
Or maybe he should stay a flatlander for awhile yet.
Just a couple of days ago he is appologizing for his comments over a year ago
and he is right back at it again..
Someone needs another time out on the couch..

Hey Joey, My two cent's is maybe just rent one and see how you like it. Rent one off each brand then you can make up your mind. Steep and deep is different than ditch banging or flat trail ridding. Rent, test and then you can make a dissision. There is always the people that like to call other sleds junk. :nono: But just buy what you feel works for you after you test.:) Remember it is a stand up riding, you don't sit down very much. Maybe 10% of the ride.:d

I have to agree as well.... If anyone has said anything else then Yami. it is no good !!!! Let him get what he wants and hate it if it does not work for him or he can't ride it...
