Zippy tied throttle to 7/8 and mowed the long part. Ordered new throttle cable from Kasha Farm Supplies.

Built a mulching deck for this monster and blew the rad out. This mower cut my grass cutting time form 1.25 hours with a 52 inch tractor to a measly 25 min. Best part about it is I get to run purple diesel in it.

Yeh some are terrible for sure . Depends on what grade of machine you buy?
I thing they have three different lines to compete with the types like club cadet and others .
I have a 2320 tractor and use it for all kinds of things year round and not one problem in 9 years .

LA series???......you realize, that model was purposely built cheap as a price point and equal to the specs of the hardware store mowers ...Sears, MTD, etc, .....cheap and disposable like Bic Lighters........and really, you are getting what you pay for..that's why many Deere dealers don't even stock that line....they leave it to Home Depot and Lowes to sell them....

You want quality? Buy a little higher up the chain (model wise) than the price point machine........just sayin

I have my Massey GC2300 with 60" mower....but my wife keeps planting more trees....my push-mower time is now surpassing my ride-on time. I'm getting old and this may kill me. I can't use a zero turn as I have lots of side slope/hill. Bought this ol girl today, see how she works....
