What did you do for your ATV today?

I saw this another forum and thought it was neat to follow. the question is what did you do for your ATV today? Anything from changing fluids, cleaining, overhauling, start it just to hear it run, go for a ride, or telling it goodnight!

I'll start by saying I went to buy fluid for changing the front and rear diff, and the transmission, then took it for a short ride in the snow filled ditches, and changed the fluids after that.

not a dang thing, to frickin cold lol , buttt i did pickup some new cold weather gear (jacket and snow pants), day before bought a set of 4new paddle and rims for the snow/river runnin once the ice is safe.

Kicked the frozen dog piss ice off the tire. The thing probably would have piled up if I tried to start it.

Went for a little ride up in the hills, its +1 today so I couldn't pass it up, put the blade on it after and plowed the driveway, gonna change the diff fluid out later tonight.

Guess it was a full day for the quad.

I haven't done a thing for my atv since sept1, when I moved and started university... Maybe Christmas time I'll get to ride old green!

The KVF are fun quads. Suck in mud and snow but are a lot of fun on trails. So heavy already but I wish they would have made a 4x4 version like the renegade just "Kawasakized" haha

Well my one quad has been the shop since July and the 800 I went to move it in the garage, which ended up in me doing figure eight donuts in the back yard. lol I live right in the middle of the city. It was great the smell of quad exhaust in the air. lol neighbours gotta love me.

I think your getting the "kvf" mixed up with the "kfx"! Lol. My "kvf 700" is the same as a Kawasaki prairie but they changed the name in 06 to kvf. Lol it will outdo a brute force 659, although they are very similar other than the plastic and some different front suspension. the kvf "feels" a few pounds lighter than the brute force in my opinion.

i bought anothe box of Studs so i can finish studding my front tires.

How many studs to each lug there psullivan?

4 or 5 in each on the back and 3 each in front with some others on the sides. The best set up is if your entire tire width has studs. not the same place in each row. That way when your tires spin there is no groves in the ice where there was no studs(more traction)

A buddy I ride with has an outlander 800 and studded his tires like that and they get good bite on ice but he lives like a mile of tar from the river and when he goes on the road it throws a few studs out. otherwise they work good.

Right! Haha Ginger moment there. Never rode the prairie of big KVF. My uncle had a 400? KVF went pretty good for a little quad.
