I’m sure it’s not the norm. Started getting low oil pressure light after runs of wide-open throttle. Took it in. They went right through it. It told me it was fine. Changed oil pressure sending unit. Then I went to Cadomin for two days, did 250 km. On the last day, about 2 miles from town Rod knock started. Motor is easily available and on its way. $9000 thank God for Warranty. I’ve never blown a motor on an ATV since the 90s
I change all oil spring and fall whether I ride it or not. 🤷‍♂️

Ah yeah. The 131 bad luck thread. 😁 6000 rip ems in 4th and blew the primary chain. I’m still paranoid if I pass cars when it’s tight and with speed. That was almost a life-changing experience with the chain, locking up intermittently. Ride fast take chances. 👍🏼

Just a ride around home again. Finding the beavers have been busy this summer.

Nice! I put some new rollers in the secondary on my defender yesterday.
Heard all these horror stories about how sh*tty factory ones were. Pulled the original ones out and like new!

I did the same a month ago. (with over 6000 km) The claimed shitty factory rollers are just getting damaged at the factory, so if they last the first year they will probably last forever.

Added an inferno heater to my Maverick Sport over the Christmas break. Nice having warm tootsies and a clear windshield playing in the snow.

Yesterday was going too good so I decided was the day to change the fluids on my only remaining quad, a 2016 Outlander 570. I basically just use it to plow snow and tow yard implements. Gawd! I forgot how hateful it is to get the plastics and footboards off a G2 Outlander. (I had several Renegade 1000’s in the past and the lack of plastics makes maintenance much easier….you just get muddy when you ride)
Anyways….5-ish hrs later did both diffs, gearbox and engine oils…pulled the beltbox apart and inspected the clutches…they good. At least I got to put anti-seize on all the footboard bolts and the clutch cover bolts as those tend to stick after a few years.

I added a switch to shut off the stereo which is now hooked directly to the battery. We can sit by a river, listen to tunes without leaving the ignition on.
Also, checked the diffs, grease, wash and change over the gun racks to the carrying rack.
