A couple of weeks ago I had my absolutely mint arctic cat dvx 400 all shined up and for sale and of course one of my best buddies happened to get home from the rig. He had his driller with him who took interest to my quad as soon as he found out it was for sale. It was like new with maybe 20 hours on it and no damages. So mr rich driller guy made me a cash offer I couldn't refuse. I took it and we decided to go fishing. A whole bunch of us were fishing out of the dog pound and taking turns ripping the quad around some trails nearby with his permission of course. Now after a day of fishing we had guzzled a couple cold ones and there was a very short ride back to the house which I took the quad too. Did a couple mean wheelies down the backroad and came pulling into the house that had a long driveway. The truck had just pulled in to the house and everyone was getting out to watch me come full throttle 5th gear tapped around the bend in the driveway and catch a rut flipping the quad and myself over and under each other about 5-6 times. It was a crash of the ages and right in front of the guy that just purchased it that day..... Well I sprung up immediately embarrassed as all hell. I instantly started apologizing to the guy and all my friends were in shock and like wtf are you ok man? Do you need to go to the hospital? I only had a couple cuts and bruises but the quad not so much the frame above the a arms was bent to hell the plastics, handlebars, headlight and one rim was absolutely totaled. Once everyone knew I was ok the deal was called off obviously haha and my pride and shoulder still haven't been the same. Just wanted to get this story off my chest haha share the laugh with me.

Hahaha brutal! Chit can be replaced, but a bruised ego lasts forever.

Today i reinstalled my 1800 rpm engagement shim, reinstalled the zillas, replaced 8 wheel studs, removed the audiotube, and ipod mount. Just need to grease it then it should be ready for winter!

Bought another one, well more like a powered lawn chair for riding around camp.

Spare wheel studs? You go through a lot of those?

Lately.....i bought my zillas middle of last summer and when i put my stock wheels back on to ride in the black hills over labor day weekend i twisted some off. I could see it was just like they were stretched or bent on the end. The manual says they needed to be torqued to 90 ft-lbs. I go to the local dealer and tell him the situation and he doesnt have a suggestion. So i clean them completely out of wheel studs and lug nuts. Use them in the process of putting my stockers back on. On my way to the black hills i stop at the Rapid City SD dealer and clean them out of studs and nuts as well just in case i happened to break one while i was riding out there. I tell him the situation and he tells me that they cut the torque specs back to 70 ft-lbs. The other day when i put my zillas back on i burned through the 8 spare studs i had. Just figured i should get some spares just to be on the safe side. It only costs $4.06 for 4 studs. I didnt torque them so much this time so we will see what happens. Hopefully im past that problem

Repainted the front bumper and went a little overboard with the silver . Lots of over spray and I shouldn't have painted the plastic trim on the rack
