Just splurged Moto fist gear it's amazing coming from snowboard gear have a few weeks on it now and dry as can be at days end every time I use it

Zeal Goggles, love the fact that the lenses adjust to the light conditions! plus havent fogged yet!

I also made the switch to Burton AK gear this year, yeah yeah i know its not sled gear BUT it weighs absolutely nothing which is awesome to wear all day. Plus it uses a new type of goretex (apparently). I would definitely recommend it!

thanks for the feedback i was looking at klim but it is expensive and a little on the heavy side

When choosing gear soley based upon it's weight, you have to keep in mind that Sled Gear requires extra durability not necessarily needed for ski and snowboard gear. Our Running Boards, and ventures into trees can completely demolish Ski/boarding gear in a matter of minutes. Pants are most vulnerable in my opinion. For Sled gear you get what you pay for but if you are looking for a deal, early or late season purchasing may find great deals in non current product. Ask your local dealer about some non current pricing. I have some wicked deals at our store on non current Klim. I'm completely sold out of Motorfist Non Current, but I have some Klim left.
I personally wear Motorfist, I have for 3 seasons now and my family and I couldn't be happier or dryer at the end of a long day of riding.

Went with TOBE gear this year and I love it. Stayed dry in a warm high humidity day at revy where we sent most of the day digging. And unlike most of the other sled gear out there, it actually has some colour to it beyond black and red.

I prefer light weight, layered clothing, easier to strip down or layer up as conditions change. If you don't mind spending the cash, Arcteryx makes awesome stuff, I've never come down wet at the end of the day.

Klim!!!if you want light look at the snow cross jacket.I dont think Klim is expensive at all if you compare to other brands using the Gortex brand.great deals on klim stuff to be found if you look around for last yr model jackets.

You get what you pay for is a statement that fits Klim and Motorfist gear for sledding. Both are awesome, have great warranties and service, and they both have great guys to deal with. Rumor has it they may even have the odd golf game together!

Goondocker97, if you are looking to save a buck or two, buy your gear on the first day of the Edmonton (seeing as you are from there) sled show next October. The non-current gear that vendors have left over, as mentioned above, is reasonably priced but sells fast. I attend the sled shows (as a booth attendant in Edmonton and Saskatoon) regularly and have found some of the best deals before the show actually begins. As for the heaviness, there is insulated and non-insulated gear so it depends on what you are looking for.

Arcteryx is expensive and from what I see won't stand up to the rigours of boondocking through the trees. Sure looks good though doesn't it! Sledding gear should be function over fashion IMHO……..

Like a true fanboy I bought ski doo gear. Helium 2 stuff and so far totally awesome! Very light and dry/warm. Lifetime warranty and my local dealer gave me good discount from ski doo retail prices... I have the ski doo carbon helmet and 509 polarized aviators and absolutely love the lightness of the helmet. Goggles are ok so far... Look tres cool for sure...

I even bought the helium pull cord style boots even though people said my feet would get wet/cold but absolutely not the case I am worried about how long the lace system will last though.

Anyways big bucks but comfortable/ perfect temps in varying outside conditions = happy BRP fanboy!

I just seen those zeal goggles for the first time 2 weeks ago. Defiantly sweet. But 440 for the ones with the cam. Ouch.
