Apparently The Pto Side Connecting Rod Bearing Piled Up --- THE CYLINDERS AND PISTONS WERE LIKE NEW, THEY SAID... They Sent The Engine Back To Brp For "investigation".... And Pulled The New Engine From A New 2007 1000rt Crate Summit They Have Been Stealing Parts From All Year Long.... I Was Very Impressed With Martin Equipment And Their Ability To Get The Sled Ready, Even Though It Was Supposed To Be Ready By The Time I Got Back From Mexico... Thanks To Craig(tech) And Dave(service Manager) They Finished It Up So I Can Tweak And Get It Ready For Trout Lake This Weekend!!! Brp Couldn't Give Us An Eta On A "new" Engine From The Factory, So I Was Happy With This...... Makes You Wonder What They Are Dooing With The Warehouse Full Of 1000's They Have.... Hmmmmm, Can You Say 1000xp For Next Year???

I just got a RT 1000 I need a spare belt. Keep the info coming in. I was going to order from ont. but I think I will wait and see the imput from you guys,thanks

I BLEW THE ORIGINAL BRP BELT ON MY 1000RT, AND I PICKED UP TWO "JUST AVAILABLE" GATES EXTREME BELTS FROM NAPA, FOR ONLY $68.00 EACH MY COST(RETAIL WAS ABOUT $100.00). THESE BELTS ARE SAME LENGTH AND WIDTH, BUT THE THICKNESS IS ABOUT 1/2..... I PUT ON ABOUT 300KMS AND KABOOM, THE BELT OBLITERATED AND JUST THREADS HAD WRAPPED AROUND THE PRIMARY CLUTCH...... LUCKILY I WAS JUST GOING UP A TRAIL TO BLUE LAKES IN SICAMOUS, AND NOT DOOIN' A HIGHMARK OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I PUT ON THE SECOND BELT AND WITHIN 100KM THREADS STARTED COMING OUT THE SIDE.... BOUGHT A BRP BELT($180.00 RETAIL AND I FOUND 1 FOR $150.00 IN SICAMOUS) AND ALREADY HAVE ABOUT 300+ KMS AND STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW.... RETURNED BOTH THE GATES BELTS TO MY NAPA DEALER...... PICKING UP 2 BELTS FROM RORY @ PURE ADDICTION MOTORSPORTS TODAY, AND I THINK THEY ARE ULTIMAXES.... WHAT BELT DO YOU RUN ON YOUR 1000RT???

:d i have no idea? I got rid-of doo clutching and went aftermarket..... still on oringal belt.... hardly no dust.... no blown belts(@150$ea) i think it will pay for itself soon.... P.S.= my RT1000 is for sale....... Safe to say... Nices RT 1000 you'll ever see.... Built by Kenny at Mountian Magic = HAS ALL THE TOYS..... It's time for a climber

Has anybody tried the new belts from Royal Dist. I have a problem with 180.00 for a belt on my 1000 from skidoo.
