what are good affordable ski's for a new rider

Lol you've never looked at Pro or Dragon skis? They are wide with a short tail so you don't need to countersteer as aggressively and they float well.

Lots of guys put gripper skis on xp's so they roll over easyer and side hill better.

They float good too.




I'm still pilot 6.9 for now till I wreck one and then going grippers.

I started running pilot 6.9's last year, have them on my Apex and Nytro. I run them on the opposite sides so have some less direct keel affect when side hilling.
Wife has C&A MTX pro's on her XP and likes them

Just called the local dealer out here in the lower mainland they want $149 Each for the stock grippers and are offering $12 each for skags and carbides are more .... anyone know of better prices for ski's around town ?

I liked my 6.9's to when I had my xp, but the thing I didn't like about them where the ski loop handles. The way that they are angled if you gloves have snow on or if your had just slips your pinky finger gets crushed. I thought I broke my finger a few times! Lol

Agreed I don't like pulling on doo skis.
