You do 24k oil changes? Remind me not to buy your used vehicles
OEM spec is 24,000 KM on the engine oil, or once per year....... If you purchase the "maintenance package" through Dodge, they won't touch it until then.

Do you think that if there was a concern, Dodge would risk engine failures to simply save $100, plus the chance to go over your vehicle and sell you brakes, wipers, fluids, etc? Plus, they aren't saving a thing. It costs dealers money to not have you do more oil changes. You don't wear a tinfoil hat by any chance? That’s the way they save money.
I'm at 175k myself on my 16. Emissions crap is acting up right now, so I'm just waiting on the fix to come in the mail. Beyond that, no issues. I am aiming for 400k on it anyway.
Pricing I'm seeing to trade a 1yr old Duramax w/ 40K on it is 11,000 plus taxes if truck to truck were the same price. The 2020 GM HD stuff went up fairly drastically and there's next to nothing for programs on them right now. So this depreciation hit that people talk about just isn't true. You have to buy it right in the first place.

The 24k interval on the Cummins is nice the cost to change oil and both fuel filters is not, quirky lube $450-500.
Then again I know guys who are flipping diesels to the USA and they never change the oil because they only keep them 6-8 months some are up to 50,000km.
Depreciation hit driving off the lot has been true forever with the numbers I showed you it cost me 4K a year for 6 years cost you 11k for 1. There is a somewhat more linear drop for a few years and km amount on vehicles before they nosedive again and no one wants them. I just look for the reasonable sweet spot as I can’t stand payments either. The guy at the dealer said cash deals are defiantly the oddity these days as stated before by others most peoples first question is how much a month. Salesman just licking his chops come on in sir we have a deal for you.
Holy fawk does it ever piss me off when I ask what the price is when shopping for a truck and all they bring me is a payment. I will walk out the door now if it happens.
Buy during the year-end, noncurrent models off the lot.Depreciation hit driving off the lot has been true forever with the numbers I showed you it cost me 4K a year for 6 years cost you 11k for 1. Buy during the year-end, noncurrent models off the lot.
Target $20k off.
O km and full warranty.
Really closed the gap over buying used.
Or order what you want right at the tail end of orders for that year .
Comes in right before the new models and then let it sit on lot for a bit . Lol
Have done it a few times and works out well .

How do you let something you ordered sit on the lot? Don’t you sign a contract before they order it?
