Club membership will get you a discount on insurance, but does not include insurance.
Speaking of club membership how does that work in BC? Here in Ontario we got the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs and if you buy your permit early it’s $190 for the whole season. Let’s you ride anywhere in the province

yeah... you're not going to like the setup here then. You buy a membership for a club prices range from ~$60/year to $250. Or you pay a daily trail pass which is generally $20-25/day. Usually people buy a pass for the local club or area they ride the most and then pay daily trail pass rates if they travel to other areas. Most clubs have more than one managed area under their oversight.

That fee is for parking at the staging areas and access to the trails to get to all the play areas correct?

The gov't imposes restrictions on what the money can be used for. If you buy a club membership $36 goes to the BCSF which is the provinces parent club. The remainder of the money can be used at the local club's discretion. If you buy a day-pass the money can only be used for trail grooming and maintenance and cabin maintenance.

All the play areas for the one club you bought a pass from, not the hole province and or other clubs

So what determines the club boundaries? Different mountain ranges? Also the City of Fernie posted an ad for a Mechanic, what’s around there in terms of riding?

Club boundaries are I suppose Mabe tenured area, but means nothing as you can ride from one to another

To me, Fernie is cold, windy and mehhh

They either have good deep pow, or nothing much for a while

Also it's steep, with lots of terrain traps and bad valleys that you have to ride through

Oh and b. C isn't like Ontario where there's trails connected between two areas

That's the difference between here and there, and why one pass won't work

Cause sicamous for example grooms the eagle pass trail, and revy grooms the Boulder trail

But you can get to one or the other from one or the other

But there's big country between them, and not joined at all

Lots of good riding around Fernie but accommodation is super tight for rentals and you need to spend seven to eight hundred grand to buy a home you might want to live in. A couple of young Europeans just secured our friends rental property by offering them 25% more than they were asking...that is the current Fernie market, crazy

I was under the impression with the right conditions a person could make it through

Griffin to queest sure.
Bigbie once you hit Mable it gets real tricky.

But I'm always down for a rodeo.

I know 100% it can be done. and queest is on the other side of the highway so well leave it out of this run haha
