Light weight in the old days = horse power...

A 500 lb hog with 100 + hp

Or

A 500 lb beast at 200 + ponys

One would think that the 200 + would feel lighter

When I had my 600 lb'er up and runn'ing on a climb at 210 too 230 ponys it felt super light...

90 mpr of spinning track too eat the fur off a sleeping Grizzly...

Gear long go far... lol

Interesting take on extending you riding life by a few years with a lightweight sled! That was one of my biggest reasons for trying a 9r, wanted to try the lightest stock sled I could find! Hopefully it’s a bit easier on an old guy

I weighed my 2023 165 expert turbo last night 560lbs, I thought it would be lighter. Has a diamond S can full of fuel, oil and spare belt. My buddies 23 165 khaos boost with a lightweight can and helium hood it was 536lbs.

Your gen 5 does seem heavy. I thought a 165 gen 4 turbo stock rtr was 572. Must be big screen and all with battery?

Ya it is heavy, the screen battery is 3.4lbs I grabbed a lithium battery which will save 2lbs but my stock battery is weak or I wouldn't bother, there isn't a lot of weight savings that I can see unless you start going carbon, I weighed the hood and its 17lbs with the 10.5" gauge, sure would be nice if there was a helium hood option like the Polaris, there's a carbon hood out there but I think they want $2500 plus for it. I dropped 50lbs off my sidewinder pretty easily, the new stuff there just isn't much weight to lose.

That wrap adds weight as well.
The G5 is approximately 10 lbs lighter then a G4 depending on the model.

You side winder was about 600 pounds RTR? You find the doo carry’s its weight better than the sidewinder?

Ya true, but gotta spend money on something.

I was just curious on price. Maybe.not the best bang for your buck, but light wieght is nice some times.

I have delivered a couple Nextech Carbon skids to a few buddies that run them. Complete skid with shocks was +/- $7500cnd. that was 2 years ago.
