well guys, i finally stopped being lazy and figured out what was wrong with the gade.

Long story short, last fall i was by specialty sleds and they offered to do a quick inspection on my primary. I said sure since i hadn't done anything to it, and with 6500 km i was interested as to how it was fairing. They popped it off, said it looked pretty good for the usage and then put it back together and back onto the sled as i wasn't having any work done to it. Fast forward to last january when it wouldn't engage/idle/build power after the second ride of the season. Fast forward to today. I start taking the primary bolt out and low-and-behold the entire outer sheave starts falling apart. 2 of the bolts holding the spring cup down were no longer threaded into the sheave or holding down the cup, and the third was snapped in half. Turns out the 3 bolts weren't tightened enough/secured when it was reassembled at ss.

This just re-enforces that i should follow the saying "if you want something done right the first time, do it yourself". So all i have to do now is remove half a bolt from the sliding sheave and get and new one, then reassemble. Then she's all good to be sold!

Can't wait for the 2013!

For my 2 cents My opinion is "If it ain't broke don't fix it" .That's why my old 2000 600 is still ready to go.but I probably jinxed it now!!!.

That 1000 is a great sled and you can not beat how good it rides.
For all you on and off trail guys just test ride it and you will love it.
I have a 2010 xp and the 1000 is better then it on trail,ditches, in the mountains still is good.\
so will be easy to sell just need snow.

Sounds like everyone else has it priced right.Now i just have to convince You.After all it's another year older and depreciating fast.
