I found this this morning and found it interesting and intriguing. The question came to mind about "why does Environment Canada with all their realms of tax payers dollars and satellite systems have to rely on American radar?" I guess I never paid close enough attention before to notice the degrees being in Fahrenheit and the wind being in MPH. Looking like the higher elevations to the east are going to get a great reload!

Hi Doug. Could it be that the Weather Channel (weather.com) is a USA company based out of Atlanta?

Environment Canada for Revelstoke is https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/bc-65_metric_e.html

Radar info is https://weather.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html

Have a great day!

I guess what got my interest was that it was an Environment Canada news release for the storm warning and the write-up was in Canadian (Celcius and KPH). When one went to the radar, it went to the American site instead of using Canadian radar.

That does seem odd. Was the US radar closer to Revy than Prince George given that Silverstar is down for maintenance or replacement or whatever?
