Been right there….Boom.
That's cold-24 right now in Fort Macleod
Just came from that way on Monday and Tuesday. Quite a mix of good and rough roadsSupposed to be 0 today here in winterpeg, but also supposed to get 6" of snow. Be another rodeo on the roads heading west.
Minus 31 when I got off the plane in shorts and flip flops last night.Plus 25 in PV right now.
I drove in on Monday, was definitely some snow drifts on the highway in places. In side the city limits though holeee fack are the roads rough. Makes #16 around Edmonton feel smooth as a baby's ass.Just came from that way on Monday and Tuesday. Quite a mix of good and rough roads
When we left Winnipeg Monday after they reopened the Trans Canada we counted 9 plows plowing. When we got to Moosimin we saw 2 from there to Regina. And one of those was just driving. Roads were worse in Sask than Manitoba which surprised us.Was on my way out of winterpeg around 3 today, didn't get into Regina till 1030 this evening. Low pressure system came up out of North Dakota and dumped a bunch of snow.
Roads weren't too bad, visibility was decent for the most part, then they closed the roads at Brandon.. which I found out when I got to Virden... I didn't think much of it took the outskirts around and back on the highway...
Well I was pounding drifts with my bumper just about the whole way to the sask border.... the plows were out on the sask side but not the Peopletoba side...
Must have been 3-400 truck lined up at Virden. View attachment 280568
