So today I wonder: "does anyone at Environment Canada or The Weather Network have an office with a window?" All day we have been under a "rainfall warning" (Caroline forecast) and winds listed at 31 km/hr gusting to 55. Ok...it's raining....not Noah's Ark raining where a special warning is required, but raining.Wind? Well....my tractor is holding one of my trees from going over...neighbor lost one. This is NOT 55 km/hr winds....

Fire pit wood. At least you got lots of trees. I see my yard light is laying on the ground now too. Yup....no wind warning needed.

I get it that *forecasting* the weather is hard (dart board science), but what frosts me is that the agency's can't even *observe* the weather correctly. Right now I have two trees down and a lamp post on the driveway, all my other trees are at angles and the doggy door flaps are bouncing open and closed....the weather page for Co of RD says wind 17 km/hr, Caroline says 30. (I am in Co of RD towards Caroline side)

I had heard a couple weeks back already that the Timeau area had gotten upwards of 30"+ this summer already..... I wonder what that tally is at now....

News is reporting 100+ Millimeters in Westlock yesterday.

My relatives live up in that area and the last I heard they got 21" and that was over a month ago.
