What’s everyone using to refurbish the water proofing in your gear. I have a Klim and tobe suit I’d like to freshen up! TIA

Nikwax. I use it each season, you can order it on Amazon. Use the wash first and then the sealant.

X3, same same. I have an old set of klim bibs, like circa 2005, I use as winter work coveralls around the acreage and nikwax makes a big difference. Not the same as new stuff but it helps.

I thought I remember reading Klim’s instructions were to NOT use the wash in type but rather use the spray on DWR.

If you can iron your gear without melting it completely it can melt the finely freyed fibres that attract and pull in water. Usually around cuffs and other wear locations.

I had a patch on my Klim bibs that leaked really bad and I used scotchuard watershield spray around the patch to seal it up. Wouldn't wnat to use it on the full garment though, but could probably use it on problem areas.
