lol...on the one I installed you have to turn it to "wash" in order for it to spray out of the toilet. it is always on the "rinse" setting for self cleaning the spray nozzles just so the critters can't accidentally turn it on and flood the house. on the "wash" setting it will spray out ten feet out of the toilet. both our cats and the dog insist on drinking from the toilet. the dog will even lift the lid to do so.
