Bring it on. Anxious to try the 09 550XP on Tracks to compare its performance to my 08 400HO.

That looks like it would be so much fun! They'd be really nice for getting to the cottage in the winter...

Yup, tracks for UTV's are big $$$ and in my opinion aren't practical for 4 seasons.

I found some some for my rhino for $3500 delivered Tatous or commanders, only problem is I can't find the dealer where I found them,.. I think they were in Manitoba or Sask if I remember correctly.

I would only use them in winter, I like my Zilla's too much now since I have used them.

Man i would hate to try to get that thing out after getting it stuck!!!

How is it compared to a sled?
For 3500.. Wouldn't it been just as easy in time and work to buy a damaged or older sled?

Just saying..

Don't know how to get it stuck in the last 5 yrs. Regularly travel in 8' of snow, loose powder or wet and heavy - makes no diff.

Much slower than a sled but will climb without having to take a run at a steep hill. When I use to sled, slowing down in deep powder was a no no. BURIED !

Last photo - sign is 8' off the ground.

Just a different way of enjoying the back country.

i must say those pics sure do impress me!.... but just wondering how does the area of track that touches the ground and pressure it applies to the ground compare to a long track sled?

These tracks ( not the biggest) have 15 sq. ft. of surface on the snow. Close to double what the avg long track sled has. I've had lots of sleds & I'm not biased but I got tired of wrestling sleds and digging out. An age thing I think.

Got enough snow to get out but not at max yet. How bout you Gunny? Any snow pics?

PS is a God send with tracks, specially in the heavy wet stuff.

Lots of track suppliers. Any quad dealer can supply. Best are Tatou 4S or Commander Trek series.

Here's a good video.

GREAT photo's there Mongrol ... dang, looks like you got tons of snow. :common001:

As for myself Mongrol, we only had 33 inches Monday & that has settled down to 28 inches as of this morning. :i_need_snow:

Head'in out tomorrow morning & hoping to get some photo's & maybe some video's. :pics: We'll see .... WOO HOO !!!! :yahoo:

Arff ... as for the steering on a non-power steering ATV, at times it can take some arm & shoulder work ... but it's not too bad ... most the time. Other times, it can be a bugger ... like in wet heavy snow in tight places. But normally, if you're moving, the steering isn't too bad .... HONEST !!!!
And my buudy just put some on his 850 with PS ... so I'll let ya know what he thinks after tomorrow.
