I am wondering what fuel you guys at specialty would reccomend for a apex turbo. i am just installing regulator and was told i can mix up to 14#s. after that i have to use straight race fuel. Any info would be nice. i already talked to Eric about ordering some VP from you guys.

Ken would be the best to talk to about the percentages on that one.. But if i remeber right he runs his RX1 turbo at 14lbs boost all the time and mixes his fuel like 60 prem /40 C111.. But ken knows lots about mixin fuel ratio's for the yammy's..

Thanks, i plan on running straight VP, no mixing. i will come in and see ken one day.

Thing to remember is that running more octane than is necessary is a waste of money. Av gas is fine if your requirements are 95-100 octane. If you need 107ish then C-111 is what you need. It is not Av gas that blew up anyone's motor, it is that someone didn't do their homework. everyone knows Av does not have the octane of race.

100 octane aviation "AV" gas is usually cheaper that 100 octane race gas. What is the difference between race gas and AV gas?
Rockett Brand: Aviation gasoline with an octane quality of 100 is often cheaper than 100 unleaded, thus it may look attractive to performance enthusiasts. First and foremost, 100 octane Aviation fuel contains tetraethyl lead (TEL)

Aviation fuel is designed for low speed aircraft engines that run at 2700 to 2800 RPM at 10,000 feet altitude. Aviation fuel often contains hydrocarbons that are detrimental to the performance of a high-horsepower Machine.

There are two grades of 100 octane aviation gasoline. One is identified as 100LL and is blue in color. The other is 100/130 and is green in color. The second number (130) shown for the green fuel is a measurement using a supercharged octane test engine. Although this 130 octane number is higher, it is achieved from an entirely different test and rating system than octane numbers determined with normally aspirated engines. For comparison, Rockett Brand 111 octane tests out at over 160 octane using the supercharged aviation method that indicates Rockett Brand 111 has a significant advantage in anti-knock ability over 100/130 aviation gasoline.

For use in sleds C111 is one octane lower than C12 but significantly cheaper as it is only made for the winter.. C111 from what i hear is going for about 595.00/drum

at oakley mechanical a main distributor of vp it 600 bucks a barrel (my job)

my friend buys it from you guys for his dirt bike. how much do you guys sell c111 for per gallon or litre. i am thinking of mixing it with shell v power in my sled this weekend.
