Well the figuring is not to bad, take the video put it in to Pictures on your computer, down load a video compresser off the internet for free and put it on your utube site. Easy right.
The ones I have done are poor quality, just used the home Sony, that's ok if there is little movement, but the grooming shots need a GO PRO or something simular, my camera is not fast enough for good a quality picture .
Next year, a Santa request.
Don
P.S Still no place to put a Heater on that Puller !!

Good one Don. Were you just carrying snow or was there some cutting going on? You were just clicking right along. Do you have the drag set to cut much? Was it rough in front of you

To day in this area I was cutting, but the snow pack is deep, that's why there was so much snow going into the collector. The main trail going south has some moguls, it needed a little TLC. I set the shoulder blades deeper than the center blades because I noticed the center of the trail was getting hollowed out and wanted to level the trail. The snow is carried from the shoulder cutters to the center of the groomer and the snow is dumped more toward the center of the trail leveling it out a bit. When I built the groomer I put two cutters on the right side and only one on the left side, so you get a better cut on the right side when adjusted to go deeper. Speed was 12 km/h

Ok no video yet but I have a pic. Don updated our Scandic to make it a bit more ridable when colder out. By now all of you should know that grooming works best when it is colder and the trail has time to set. This upgrade helps us groom when colder. I may not be real pretty but it works.

This is an old one but a good one. Lots of snow to push on the way down to the Bull River.

Crossing Creek trail out of Elkford, BC.

I have only groomed in Fernie this year and pretty much only once a week. A few more guys have stepped up (in Elkford and Fernie) and that is good as sometimes life gets in the way of late night grooming. So we are taking different shifts, etc.. In Fernie, we have had a string of mechanical issues and the SnowCat has been down quite a bit and my hours are down considerably. The electrical gremlins were/are the most troublesome and have haunted us for maybe 2 months. The parts from England came in yesterday so we should be up and running this week.

Thanks for the video and lesson Doug. After MM6 in Mcbride you should do a grooming seminar there. JMHO

This is a groom over, travelled up to the pipe line and was packing on the way back when I took this video
It's great to be in the bushes. The snow looks deep, and it is, walk off the groomed trail and it is over my knees. For Alberta that's pretty good.
