Why would you refuse to pay for Insurance???? Its for your own protection and for other sledders. What would happen if your sled killed someone or something like that.I have $8000 covarage (value of sled) and its like $104 a year.Fire/Theft/ 1,000,000 liability.

You will pay more then this in tickets if you get stopped and the cops are not in a good mood.

Yup!

Sled insurance is CHEAP. My motorcycle is rediculous, and my dirt bike is stupid for what it is too. I think 174$ for just liability. No theft or fire.

My sled I think is $130 for theft, fire, and PLTD / year. Like 14$/month.

A 136 PADDLE track will have little problems. Just need to learn how to use it on most days. Deep powder days would be a bit more of an issue, but I've rode with 136's paddles and they still did great.

Just curious what you are using for camera equipment and what distances you shot from.

Nice area. I could play in that all day, every day. Last time we were in Fernie we accidentally ended up in some cat skiing operation. They were not impressed. I guess it pays to go with someone that knows the area.

Panasonic triple ccd camcorder (12X optical zoom) onto DV tape and shot from an average of 200 feet back from the bottom of each hill. Maximum distance shot was likely around 1000' while the guys were at the top of the tree shots. Nothing fancy, just braced myself on my sled to try and keep stable while zoomed out.
