Victory bikes, good or bad

Have had a victories (07+, vegas, kingpin, & hammer) and Harleys (08+). I can say my victories were stronger and a nicer ride than the harleys I owned... but I liked them anyway.

Been reasearching Harleys and Victorys for the last two years,,, the Victory won my vote,just bought myself a new Victory Cross Country. I've seen way to many Harleys idleing in traffic lineups shaking like a rock crusher. The Victory, to me, is a much cleaner looking bike, ya there are nice looking Harleys I would like to have, but could not justify spending $10000 to $15000 more just for a badge that says Harley. Go on Youtube and type in Victory vs Harley,, some very interesting points on both bikes. Take both the bikes for a ride and you be the judge. Just my $.02

I was looking at the Cross Country on Saturday. Nice looking bike and a pretty good price. I've signed up for the demo day here in Calgary in June. If my wife decides to ride along a lot more then I might make the switch. We'll see how the demo goes.
I've got an 09 Fatbob and speed is not something I think about. I rode with my brother once when he had his ZX1400. Everything is slow compared to those bikes. I want a little rumble for sound and comfort. Starting to think about riding from Calgary to Chicago and then Route 66.

Added windshield an saddlebags to my Streetbob and it works just fine on the highway. Very happy with the bike.

I've got a small windshield and saddlebags with ghost brackets on the fatbob. I love this bike but it might not be the best for long trips with my wife. I'll let you know how the comparison goes.

I haven't ridden a Victory, but know folks that own them. Good solid machines from what I've heard. That said, I don't see myself getting off my Heritage Softail for one - something to be said for the feel and comfort of a Harley on a long haul...
If you want a fast bike, buy Japanese.

Agreed, I had a few friends in the past ride Victory, but I've always been the BMW sort. I like Harley's good and well. But my BMW is the perfect balance of sport and touring. As for sport, one of my pals just got himself a 1000RR, probably going to check it out pretty soon and see if he let's me test it out.

guys that are saying the victory has more jam than the harley, is this comparing the 106ci victory against the 110ci cvo harley? was in cycleworks yesterday and looked at the victory bikes they had there, they looked pretty cool....decent pricing too.

Rode a Victory Vegas and a Vrod last year. Not sure on the specs on the Vrod, but the Victory had the 106 CI motor. The Vrod felt like it had barely enough power to get out of its own way. The Vegas was torquey and fun. If I were to pick between the two, I would pick the Victory hands down. Don't know much about the reliability of it, but I would think they would be as good or better than the Harley.

My ride is a 08 Victory Jackpot and I ride with die hard Harley riders. I get more looks and comments about my bike then then the Harleys and that just pisses them off big time.....LOL. I can't ride in front and on the inside lanes, because they go deaf from my pipes..... My bike has a deeper exhaust sound and........my bike does'nt shake like a paint mixer at Home Depot.
Every winter they put like 2-3 thousand dollars into their bikes on chrome goodies, but mine for the most part looked good out of the box. I added the fly windshield and Arlen Ness swept back handle bars, moved my foot pegs forward added heel rest's on my foot pegs and a stage 1 performance kit.



But in the end it does'nt matter what you ride as you FUEL IT, Don't trailer your bike to Sturgis ride it there.




PS.....And I do own A Harley.........

owned one since 09 vegas 8 ball never had any issues , my friends try to keep up on there harleys victory has more power a tourqe hands down handles like a dream jmho

For around 5 grand go to reddeer victory shop. Forget the name. A 116 kit that puts 135hp at the tire. That's the kit I'm getting later this year. They have a ton of victory mods. From mild to wild.
