Was thinking about buying a Victory Vegas, but know very little about them. Gotten tonnes of info about sleds here so figured it was worth a shot. Anybody have any feedback to offer on them, dependability and the like. Thanks.

First gen bikes were crap. Then they got good. Not sure of the last couple years but I would assume they are still decent bikes. Usually elk island sales do test rides in the spring. I would see if you can get on one first before you buy and see if you like it.

Reports from guys I know are they are a great and very reliable bike. You get awesome power for your investment and they have become somewhat cult like ... like Harley's.
I don't think you would be unhappy with one...I'll keep my Harley thanks.

I ride a victory vision. Sweet bike with lots of power. It will out handle and smoke a Harley in performance. I love Harley but my victory is no comparison to ride. The vision is space age looking though. Some love, some dont. Take one for a ride and you will understand

BS bout the handling comment tho they do handle great as well as the Hog, BUT I HATE to admit this tho the stock Victory eats my Harley like a coyote on a dead wabbit :(

........and my Hog isn't stock

Been reasearching Harleys and Victorys for the last two years,,, the Victory won my vote, just bought myself a new Victory Cross Country. I've seen way to many Harleys idleing in traffic lineups shaking like a rock crusher. The Victory, to me, is a much cleaner looking bike, ya there are nice looking Harleys I would like to have, but could not justify spending $10000 to $15000 more just for a badge that says Harley. Go on Youtube and type in Victory vs Harley,, some very interesting points on both bikes. Take both the bikes for a ride and you be the judge. Just my $.02

when I still had my 83 Gold Wing, the wife and I rode one month with younger couples on new 06 classic HDs,who were pulling small 200 pound cargo trailers, we pulled a 500 pound combicamp tent trailer and had the saddle bags and trunk full,,we never saw the HDs going up hills, only going down them.and if we got behind the one with the straight pipes on,we either passed him or stayed 1/2 mile behind.sound was gross..his stage 3 kit still didnt help it...both of those guys have new 1800 Gold Wings now.and we went smaller to a 1500 2005 Boulevard..wife wont ride long trips anymore,,she rode over 200,000 kms on 3 Gold Wings,,her arthritis is too bad now.warm weather only and short trips.

Very reliable, great riding bike. Decent performance for a cruiser. Victory will be having ride days in the spring so take advantage and try one out. And while you are at it try out a few of the other brands which will also have ride days. IMO we need a few bikes to satisfy our need for speed, cruising, and those long rides when comfort is key. I have owned a kingpin and loved it. Currently riding Harley but would love to have a tricked out Victory Hammer in the stable.
