Thanks for posting. This came up in my ride group last trip as we noticed that sometimes one of the top ramp hooks was jumping up and off the deck. It was just for a short time, but enough to show we were getting into a bad situation.

I do agree that loading our sleds is one of the most dangerous parts of the entire riding day.

We also had one sled drive into the back of a tilt-deck trailer, because the guy holding the back end of it down slipped and fell right as the rider was approaching the deck. Ended up crushing his bumper and breaking a tail light on the trailer. That one could have been worse, too.

Thats terrible, we have all done the same that run decks, knowledge hopefully saves someone

They are death traps. My wife ran into the side of my deck full speed one night. Surprised it didnt split her head wide open

Sad story for sure but sounds like alot of good came out of a really amazing person.
Sorry for their loss and it's great they can see the positive when it's the darkest time .
