If you do go, do not leave without seeing the Hoover Dam. They have chopper rides(awesome), or the drive up, and go on the tour.

A engineering marvel, to say the least

Chevrolet has a test track behind one of the hotels along the strip. $10 for a ticket and as long as you have a valid drivers license and you aren't drink you can do a coule laps in just about any GMC vehicle you want. I drove a Corvette, and Cadillac STS. There is even an offroad track for the 4x4s.

The Eifel Tower is cool. And of course Freemont street. Lots to look at along the strip so never a boring moment.

I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Shows, shows, shows...and Buffets LOL

The food is to die for, but some of the buffets can be pricey (Spice Market @ Planet Hollywood $27) but the same meal at another hotel can be $6 with a players card.

Where are you staying? If you have players cards already, call direct to the hotel and ask for room deals, we just booked 2 rooms for 4 nights each and rooms were comp'd. Nice holiday when you can fly out of Great Falls for $59 and get free rooms...

what is a players card ? I want a free room. :0

They are cards...look like a credit card, and you put them into all the slot machines and tables when you gamble. It doesnt seem to matter what you spend as we dont spend very much gambling but we get all kinds of perks including free rooms or at least deeply discounted rooms ($24 a night). The cards also give you discounts at the buffets and stuff. Most of the cards cover many hotels, so for me I only have 2 but they cover 25 or 30 hotels.

But for the deals, dont look online...call direct to the hotel even without a card.

As momma said we are heading down next month. We are renting a Saleen Mustang and heading down to the Hoover Dam, then take a crusie around Lake Mead. There is so much to do but not enough time to fit it all in 3 days. Good this the mother in law bought a house there....yeehaw.

Oh and check out "The Bunny Ranch" they also have some good entertainment!!!!!!!!!!!!:d

Fremont on a Fri or Sat night - especially if Nascar is in town.
Tipped our cabby to beat our friends in another cab and he did not dissapoint. A fun ride! The strip clubs there are all sweat and beer.

Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden was pretty cool. Siegfried was there when we went and he handed my neice a stuffed toy.

The adult pool at the Flamingo is interesting and scary at the same time. Nothing like getting pinned when it's 110 outside.

Fat Elvis or is it just Big Elvis now, is fun to check out when you're walking the strip.

The wax museum is OK. I think they charge too much.

Hoover damn was interesting even though we didn't take the tour.

Sometimes you literally have to keep your hands in your pockets when walking the strip to keep people from trying to jam cards in your hands.

My wife hasn't paid for a room for about 3 years now thanks to the casino reward cards. She gets offers all the time with calendars showing when rooms are free. The Flamingo always has offers and lately we've stayed at the Venetian and Bellagios for nothing. Nice rooms.
I have a card and it had no points on it. I booked a room for my brother and instead of $550 for the week, it was only $250.

Don't take the mono-rail. I think it's $5.50 a person and you can get a cab easier and cheaper.

All these ways to find deals makes me think I should be booking a flight for the ol lady and myself.

Sounds like a damned good time.
