I had one on my Brute and couldn't ever finish a ride without switching back to stock ECU. Half the time couldn't even start mine with the VDI. If you are fuel injected the MSD is by far a better choice, gave me way better power than the VDI and have had it on for over a year with absolutely no issues. If you are running an older carbed unit I have heard those VDI's were more reliable.

I have one on my 08' King Quad 750. It made the quad run much, much better. I also did the M109R injector at the same time as well. I have had a few issues with it stalling but I found a clogged air filter to be the culprit, seems to be a little touchy that way. Other than that I'm happy with it.

It works great on the Efi 700'zuki engine in the cats with the m109r injector. It's made here in Calgary and Lyle has free updatable maps for them. Pricey!!!

Had mine for 5 years or so. Made my own maps and I have been happy with it.

The VDI is well known to improve King Quads.
I ran one for a year on my grizz 700 without any improvements. (More problems than anything)
Sold it for a power commander III that I'm really happy with.
Good luck on your brute. (BTW - Lyle is very helpful if you have any questions)

Run one on my 07 kingquad with the m109r injector and it woke it up quite a bit. Only problem i have ran into is if battery is a little low dont have enough juice to run vdi.
